GENEROUS BRIGG PUB OFFERING FREE CHRISTMAS DAY DINNER TO LONELY 'SENIORS'

In praiseworthy example of Christmas spirit, a Brigg pub is offering lonely people a free dinner on the big day, December 25.
Impressed members of the public have being taking to new media to congratulate the hostelry on its generosity.
"Don't be lonely this Christmas," says the pub in a poster aimed at people who might otherwise be on their own.
"The Britannia Inn is pleased to offer a free Christmas dinner for our local seniors who might otherwise be on their own this year.
"The first 30 people who book would be welcome to join us for a free two-course seasonal meal."
The Britannia is on Wrawby Street, and the number to call is 01652 794011.
The event will start at noon with food served at 1pm.
The pub says that gift donations from the public will be warmly accepted.
Mine host told Brigg Blog of his plans for this 'spirit of Christmas' event some weeks ago while we were chatting at the bar and we'd also like to add our congratulations.
