BRIGG OWNERS LOOKING TO IMPROVE 4 HOMES


Four proposed Brigg home improvement schemes are now seeking approval from North Lincolnshire Council.
Permission is being requested to erect a single-storey side extension at 3A Glanford Court, off Grammar School Road.

Approval to  to raise the roof in connection with a loft conversion is being sought for 7 Yarborough Road.
Planning permission is requested  to erect a single-storey rear extension (including demolition of existing conservatory) at 30 Maple Close, Brigg.
At Thornsett, on Bigby Road, approval is sought to replace the windows at the front of the property beside the A1084 with black and white flush-fit conservation-style UPVC windows.
Council planners have been told that Thornsett was  built in 1901 "on the cusp of the Victorian and Edwardian era."
The property has a distinct design style which uses black timber-cladded detail with white lime render on the top half.
The new owners say they aim to preserve it for the next century "by sympathetically renovating it back to its former glory."
They say the property was purchased for its architectural style and they want to preserve it and make it more energy efficient.
Thornsett is close to the junction between Bigby Road and St Helen's Road.
As ever in the planning process, Brigg Town Council will get the opportunity to comment on these applications before they progress through to the North Lincolnshire authority for final decisions to be made.

North Lincolnshire Council is also considering an application to change  the use of an agricultural building to a dwelling house at Manor Farm, Church Lane, Cadney.
