Plans have been unveiled to create new garages in Brigg.
Social landlord for our area, Ongo, wants to replace six "sectional concrete battery garages" with six modern ones at the same location off Horstead Avenue, on the Springbank housing estate.
North Lincolnshire Council is now considering the request for planning permission.
Scunthorpe-based Ongo says the proposed garages are intended primarily for its tenants "but also for private owner-occupiers who may wish to rent a garage."
It stresses that the new garages will improve the general appearance of this area, improve security and reduce the likelihood of theft and damage to residents' vehicles.
If approved, the concrete garages will have a multispar finish, box profile plastic steel roofs and powder-coated up-and-over doors.
