GREAT HOME WIN FOR BRIGG TOWN FC AT THE HAWTHORNS




Congratulations  to Brigg Town Football Club on a super home victory at the Hawthorns yesterday (Saturday, September 2) in division one of the Toolstation Northern Counties East League.
George Merrick put the Zebras ahead in the 32nd minute against Dronfield, with Oscar Marsden extending the lead four minutes before the interval.
George added his second goal of the game in the 63rd minute and Charlie Dolling made it 4-0 with five minutes to go.
The attendance was 162 - sizeable for a game in division one.
Brigg are now 17th  in the 22-strong league, having taken five points from seven games.
The Zebras host Worsborough Bridge on Wednesday, September 6 in an evening fixture, and then  journey to Armthorpe on Saturday, September 9.
The next home league fixture on a Saturday is not until September 16, when FC Bolsover provide the opposition at the Hawthorns (3pm KO).
