BRIGG LANDMARK GETS A MAKEOVER

The Tintab shelter on East Park in Brigg is getting a well-deserved makeover.
Situated close by the A18 on the edge of the town centre, it is a popular place for people to take a break or meet for a chat. That's been the case for decades.
In a welcome move, Brigg Town Council is paying to have the shelter repainted by a contractor.
This will enhance its appearance and also help to keep rainwater away from the wooden panels that former the shelter.
Next year will see refurbishment work carried out on the Monument war memorial, near the Tintab.
That work will be completed ahead of November 1918 - the 100th anniversary of the guns falling silent on the Western Front.
The Monument was erected not long after that in memory of local people who gave their lives during the First World War.
We will remember them.

I'm not particularly attached/nostalgic about the Tintabs.....personally,I would like to see it replaced with a modern unit.....it would make a good design project for secondary pupils...
