ART DECO STYLE PLANNED IN BRIGG TOWN CENTRE

Premises selling wine, watches, books, prints, antiques and jewellery are on their way in a scheme to breathe new life into an old building in Brigg town centre.
Plans have been revealed to bring the building - between the Woolpack and Brown & Co's offices - back into use.
No 4 Market Place once housed a popular cafe but the ground floor has not seen cuppas served to customers for many years.
The Lifestyle Antique Centre is being established. And, as part of the development, advertisement consent is now being sought to put a non-illuminated fascia sign on the front of the building.
A supporting statement tells council planners that, in keeping with the period the building was erected (circa 1920s), an art deco design has been chosen for the dark blue/steel blue sign to start above the ground floor window and "embrace" the first floor window.
It will be made from wood.
The statement says the sign will contribute to the Conservation Area.
North Lincolnshire Council is now considering the application.
The authority has set a "comments by" date of September 28 for those who may wish to comment on the application -  planning@northlincs.gov.uk
