NEW USE PLANNED FOR FORMER BRIGG GARAGE SITE

Eight years ago Brigg Blog reported the demolition of former lock-up garages and clearance of the site.
In more recent times we wondered why no plans had followed to do something  with it.
This has now happened with social landlord Ongo looking to build on the parcel of land bordered by Old School Close, East Parade, West Square and Glebe Road
When the council-owned garages were built in the late 1960s or early 1970s, they were next to Brigg County Primary School before it was replaced by the new facility on Atherton Way.
We garaged a Mini in one of the concrete lock-ups during the early 1980s, paying rent to Glanford Borough Council.
Ongo's planning application for one bungalow, with landscaping,  is now being considered by North Lincolnshire Council.
The property proposed will be suitable for a family having a disabled member and is categorised as sheltered housing.
One car parking space will be provided.
