MAGICAL EVENING IN PROSPECT FOR BRIGG MUSIC LOVERS

FROM ROBERTA FULFORD

Here are the details of the Brigg Live Arts Summer Event on Friday 21st July, starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets are now on sale for an evening of fine music, food and drinks in the Cafe Courtyard, Brigg. The fabulous acoustics in the Cafe Courtyard conservatory will help make it a magical evening as Carillion play and sing a selection from their extensive repertoire
The summer platter served in the interval will include a selection of home cooked food to tantalise your taste buds (a vegetarian option is available if pre-ordered) and there will be a licensed bar run by the Brigg Live Arts team.
Although Carillion have always been well known for their unaccompanied, tight harmonies, Lesley (vocals), Martin (guitars, mandolin, tenor banjo) and Bob (guitars, bass) have expanded and developed their repertoire over the years to include a wide range of roots, country and modern songs and tunes.
With the addition, two years ago, of classical violinist Asia Joanna Dennis they have been able to expand further adding a  little Gypsy Jazz and some modern classics. Look forward to an interesting and varied evening!
Tickets are priced at £10 and these can be bought at either the Tourist Information Centre or Grandad's Shed in Brigg.
