HOW BRIGG PEOPLE CAN ENJOY A CAPITAL DAY OUT FOR JUST A TENNER

For some time now Brigg Blog has been planning to try a bargain day out suggested a good many weeks ago on this website by one of our regular correspondents.
Yesterday, Saturday, we finally managed to take the train to Lincoln, changing at Barnetby, and it cost us only £10 for a return ticket.
We came back mid-afternoon but there is a later train
to Brigg for those wanting to spend more time taking in the shops and sights of our historic county capital.
Paul Johnson, campaigner for the Brigg line's Saturdays only passenger train service, alerted Brigg Blog to the availability of this bargain ticket to Lincoln.
There is no need to book in advance, just hand over a tenner to the conductor once you board the train bound for Barnetby.
The first train of the day leaves Brigg railway station at 9.26am.
However, trains will nit be calling this Saturday, July 8, due to planned industrial action. Back to normal on July 15.
How about giving it a go?

The mid-afternoon train from Lincoln will drop you off at Barnetby station where you board one heading for Sheffield, with Brigg being the first stop.
