BRIGG VEHICLE COUNTING WITH A DIFFERENCE

There's an unintentional and unwanted traffic count going on in Brigg town centre.
It comes courtesy of a sunken metal manhole cover outside Wetherspoon's White Horse pub/restaurant on the one-way section of Wrawby Street that's open to traffic.
Every vehicle that passes over the grate on its way to Queen Street results in a loud clunk whenever wheel touches metal. Sometimes there are two clunks - front wheel being followed by back.
Maybe North Lincolnshire highways will be able to add this to the repairs list for attention at some point in the not too distant future.
The iron manhole was  made by the Staveley company in Derbyshire.
