BRIGG LIVE ARTS FESTIVAL & CYCLE RACE LAUNCH EVENT TODAY

There's a great deal to enjoy in Brigg town centre today (Saturday, May 6).
The Brigg Live Arts Festival gets into full swing with a wide range of events and concerts, with the majority of attractions being FREE.
Meanwhile, North Lincolnshire Council will be revealing important details about the OVO Energy Tour of Britain cycling event, coming to our district on Tuesday, September 5.
Marking the occasion, a North Lincs Launch Ride will set off from the Market Place at 11am, covering 17 miles through Cadney, Howsham and Owmby before returning to Brigg.
As we write this at 9.30am it's cloudy but still rain-free. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
However, some of the festival events are taking place indoors.
The organisers hope you will be able to pop down and enjoy what's on offer.

Were the cyclists given special dispensation to ride through the alleys and pedestrian areas? We had to jump out of the way of one riding at speed from the angel car park to the market place (I think he was late to the start) and were met with a wry smile when we pointed out it was a pedestrian path.
