Permission is being sought to erect a workshop to service and maintain mobile plant associated with "the ongoing operations" at Kettleby Quarry.
Breedon Southern Ltd has made the application and a public consultation period is now under way.
Although West Lindsey District Council deals with the vast majority of planning applications in its area, this one is classed as a "county matter" and will be considered in due course by the Lincolnshire authority.
