'APPALLING DRIVING IN BRIGG' BY SOME MOTORISTS, SAYS COUNCILLOR

The standard of driving shown by some drivers in Brigg is "appalling" - according to Coun Nigel Sherwood.
He told the Annual Town Meeting that some motorists "don't bother with red lights or box junctions."
His comments followed the issue of traffic flows along the busy A18 being raised by Ken Harrison during the public forum.
Ken suggested it would help if Tesco was asked to provide an alternative exit route from its store.
He also wondered whether traffic would flow better if one, or both, sets of traffic lights on Barnard Avenue were switched off.
Another member of the public, Jackie Brock, felt that would leave pedestrians with no chance of crossing the A18.
But Ken made it clear that he was not suggesting removal of the pelican crossings.
