BRIGG PUB'S NEW ADDITION PROVING POPULAR

Many Brigg Blog followers will recall the early years of TV soap Coronation Street when Ena, Minnie and Martha frequented the snug at the Rovers' Return.
Tom Wood's Yarborough Hunt pub, on Bridge Street, Brigg, now has a snug (pictured here), created from a former storeroom.
It's been open several weeks but such is the  popularity of the snug that every time we've visited the Hunt it has been occupied - until late last Saturday night when we finally got the chance to try it for size.
Over many  years there's been a nationwide trend towards open plan pubs, as it means the owners  and operators can get more customers in at busy times.
However, the Yarborough remains an exception, having several rooms, including the snug and "Ron's Shop" where you can sit in comfortable surroundings, round a traditional wooden table, and chat to friends and family over a pint or three.
There's been another development at the Yarborough. Find out what's got drinkers going bananas through this link..
