NOTHING TO DO IN BRIGG - YOU MUST BE JOKING!

Tomorrow (Friday, November 25) should dismiss once and for all some of those comments you here about there being nothing to do, or going on, in Brigg.
For there's a packed programme of varied events. Take your pick - or perhaps visit more than one...

  • Oxfam, the global charity, is presenting An Alternative Christmas Concert, from 6pm to 8pm at Brigg Youth Centre,  Grammar School Road. Tickets cost  £1 and can be obtained on the door.
  • A special reunion for ex-pupils to say farewell to the old Glanford, Westmoor and Vale of Ancholme School has been organised from 6pm to 8pm. There's an open invitation to attend but all visitors must report to the Vale Academy's Westmoor reception, off Grammar School Road.
  • Brigg Live Arts presents Bernard Wrigley - An Evening of Songs, Stories and Silliness from The Bolton Bullfrog at Brigg Servicemen's Club, off Coney Court, starting at 7.30pm. Tickets  cost £12 on the door.
  • A reunion for former footballers and friends of White Horse FC, 1978-1986, will be held at Wetherspoon's pub, Wrawby Street, from 7pm.
  • Klik will be "back by demand" for an evening gig at the White Hart pub, on Bridge Street.

In addition, PIP - Parents in Participation -  an independent forum of volunteer parents and carers of children who have disabilities and/or special educational needs will meet from 10am to 11.30am at the Steel Rooms, Spring's Parade/Market Place.

PICTURED: J D Wetherspoon's White Horse pub, where the football reunion will be held tomorrow night, Friday.
