COMPETITION TO FIND THE BEST CHRISTMAS WINDOW DISPLAYS IN BRIGG

Shops in Brigg will once again be going all out to make their Christmas window displays as attractive as possible to passing shoppers.
There will also be a Christmas competition children can enter, plus the festive raffle we mentioned in an earlier post on this Blog.
Baroness Redfern, Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, who lives in the Isle of Axholme, will be coming to town on Saturday, December 18 to make presentations to many of the winners.
We also expect her to visit the Tree of Light, near the town's main car park, and to take a look at newly refurbished St John's Church Hall, on Bigby Street.
Malcolm Bailey, Chairman of Brigg Town Business partnership, will welcome Lady Redfern to Brigg.
The winners of the raffle will be announced at 1pm.
Between 1.30pm and 4pm, Lady Redfern will accompany Malcolm Bailey and Chris Darlington to judge the children's competition and award prizes for the Christmas Best Dressed Window Competition.
The window displays will be judged by a vote from shoppers who will can give their views on forms available in participating retail outlets.

Our picture shows Baroness Redfern in Brigg for the judging of a previous year's Christmas window competition. She is seen in Wrawby Street, chatting to Andrew Percy MP, left, and Coun Neil Poole, a member of the cabinet at North Lincolnshire Council.
