BRIGG CHRISTMAS LIGHTS CHECKED & READY

Brigg town centre's Christmas illuminations are now in place, tested and ready for the official switch-on ceremony in the Market Place at 5pm on Friday (December 2).
Town Clerk Claire Davis delivered the good news to Brigg Town Council's November meeting, held in the Angel Suite last night (Monday).
She said the contractors had really applied themselves to the task.
Town Mayor Coun Ann Eardley thanked the Town Clerk for all her hard work on the lighting project, which is funded by the Town Council.
The lights are all LED - using less electricity than the old set  - and will illuminate the town after dark from December 2 through the Christmas period and into 2017.
Just a reminder that Brigg District Lions' Christmas Fair on Friday night will offer a wide range of stalls, with many retail outlets in the town centre staying open late until 9pm so visitors can do a spot of Christmas shopping.
Hundreds of people from the town and surrounding villages will be entering into the Christmas spirit on Friday night and Brigg Blog hopes the only Christmas humbug we encounter will be on sale at Sankey's sweet shop, on Wrawby Street!
