A MONUMENT TO BRIGG LITTER

We discussed the removal of this Brigg litter bin near the Monument with one of our elected representatives the other day.
We said it was not a matter we felt justified the taking up of officers' time (and ours) by reporting it through the propert channels to North Lincolnshire Council, which is responsible for bin provision, repair and refurbishment.
We've waited a good many days since taking this picture before sharing it with Brigg Blog followers, in the hope that the bin might have been reinstated. But it remains out of action.
Currently the pizza house in nearby Bigby Street is closed for refurbishment. So this bin being out of action will not impact on the safe disposal of takeaway boxes and cartons.
What's strange is that, some months ago, we reported the removal of the bin at this location in similar circumstances.
In the latest case, we wonder whether  damage might have been sustained with a replacement on order.

Would be nice to see a bin on Station Road, at present only a dog bin
