NEWLY INSTALLED ON THE A18 IN BRIGG

Thousands of drivers a day are passing some new additions the the roadscape along the busy A18 in Brigg.
Old-style bollards are on their way out and being replaced by the latest version.
This 'green' switch will save electricity, as the new versions are non-illuminated, and we are told that the replacements will be better able to cope with bumps and scrapes.
North Lincolnshire Council, the highway authority, has installed the bollards seen here where Bridge Street becomes Ancholme Way.
Others have gone in along Barnard Avenue, with more to come. But we note that  traditional versions are still in place near the Monument.
