REVEALED: HOW MUCH LONGER BRIGG ROADWORKS SHOULD LAST

Brigg drivers who have been held up in recent days by the roadworks on Cake Mills Bridge over the New River Ancholme may well be wondering how much longer this is going to last.
Brigg Blog has looked it up on www.roadworks.org - the website where utility companies and councils submit details of repairs they are undertaking.
National Grid Gas Plc has these roadworks scheduled  from June 29 until Tuesday July 5, with temporary traffic lights controlling single-file traffic along the A18.
The reason for the work relates to a reported "gas escape."
Delays likely is the category assigned on www.roadworks.org
(We think they might consider dropping the second word!)
Traffic has been backing up a long way in both directions, as most people in Brigg have observed.
In social media messages posted by some local drivers, we've seen  rather colourful language employed to describe the delays being experienced!

Never heard of a 9 to 5 gas leak, Nige.
No traffic problems during the hours of darkness.

is it related to the burst water pipe that happened sunday.
traveling from work on my moped around 2.30pm traffic was backed up beyond the motorway bridge on the A18 overtook on the inside most of the way.
