SPARROW FLIES SOUTH FROM BRIGG FOR THE WINTER

Brigg educated professional footballer Matt Sparrow is now playing Down Under.
Midfielder Matt, 34, who attended Sir John Nelthorpe School and played for Scunthorpe United, Brighton, Crawley and latterly Lincoln City,  is now with Australian side Sorrento.
Matt's new club is from the Perth area, which sets us wondering whether our old Brigg Town Cricket Club team-mate Simon Church will go to watch him, Chozzy having emigrated to that part of Western Australia many years ago.
Judging by a Matt picture posted on Twitter, the weather looks pretty good down there - even though it's currently winter. That's winter, but not as we know it.
