TELEGRAPH TRAINS NOW ON SALE IN BRIGG

Enjoy the latest edition of  our special nostalgia publication, Telegraph Trains, which is now on sale. The Spring issue, priced  £1.20, is packed with lineside pictures from the past and fascinating features.
With the help of notebooks kept by two young trainspotters in 1964, Telegraph Trains follows a week of the summer holidays in which they toured the north and midlands every day by train.
Listed is every engine they saw, including ones spotted in Barnetby and Scunthorpe.
Early diesels and surviving steam engines are featured.
Telegraph Trains also celebrates 100 years of the King George Bridge at Keadby, opened in 1916.
Without this vital River Trent crossing point the town of Scunthorpe and its iron and steel industry could never have prospered.
Snap up your copy of Telegraph Trains and take a trip back in time!
