It's hard to tell now but part of North Lincolnshire Council's office complex in Brigg was first acquired by the old Rural District authority in the 1930s. It converted a former private house to form a base for its very few white collar employees.
Brigg RDC and Glanford Borough Council built extensions and the whole lot passed to the new North Lincolnshire unitary authority when it was formed in 1996.
Currently, a spokewoman tells us, they are carrying out roofing repairs to deal with leaks.
