KEEPING BRIGG TIDY

This modern litter bin in Bigby Street, Brigg, is close to the junction with Princes Street.
Bigby Street is a well-used route by people walking home in the evening after a trip to the pub.
Following a pint or three, some drinkers fancy something to eat. So the provision of litter bins   is important in the battle against litter on the streets.
We recently pointed out that some of the litter bins in Brigg town centre were missing their “business end” which collects the litter, although the bit fastening them to the post still remains in place.
North Lincolnshire Council then announced its intention to expand clean-up and anti-litter operations in Brigg.

Welcome advances have already been made with this. But when we took the above picture on Friday morning we noted the litter bin near  Monument Garage is  still awaiting replacement/refurbishment. Perhaps that’s to be done in the very near future.
