THE MAGIC OF CHARLES DICKENS IS COMING TO BRIGG

FROM KIRSTY WESTFIELD, NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL

A dramatic show of magic tricks once carried out by Victorian author Charles Dickens promises to leave audiences absolutely spellbound at two North Lincolnshire venues in November.

Ian Keable will be performing The Secret World of Charles Dickens at Burton-upon-Stather and Brigg as part of Live Lincs rural touring programme.
The show reveals how Dickens, famous for his massive contribution to Victorian literature, dabbled in the spooky world of Victorian psychics.
Keable uses a gripping mix of storytelling and illusions to track the author’s journey and explains why he finally gave it all up.
To add to the authenticity of the event, the show ends as Dickens himself ended his own show, with the production of a fruit cake, which the audience gets to polish off in the interval!
Live Lincs is a rural touring scheme programmed by Blaize Community Arts in partnership with North Lincolnshire Council in order to bring top quality entertainment to small rural venues.
