The River Ancholme remains a popular place to visit for
anglers from far and wide.
True, they no longer fill trains arriving from Sheffield.
Nor does the Brigg town centre hotel which once existed on the back of this
trade still exist (now the location of the Deli Diner).
But there’s still good sport to be had on our local river for
matchmen (and women) and leisure anglers.
Many people comment on how clean and clear the river is these
days.
Brigg Blog has featured a few pictures of anglers landing big
pike in the town.
We hope to bring you some more in the near
future.
