A grim week for Brigg Town Football Club ended on a high note.
Needing £1,000 urgently to pay a utility bill at their Hawthorns ground, the Zebras won 2-1 away to Liversedge yesterday in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League premier division.
Brigg remain bottom of the table, but now only on goal difference.
Hopefully, this cracking result will herald an improvement in fortunes for the club over the coming weeks - on and off the field.
Brigg Town's next scheduled league fixture is on Saturday, October 3, against mid-table Rainworth Miners' Welfare at The Hawthorns (3pm).
