SOCIAL JUSTICE FUND TO BE CONSIDERED AT BRIGG MEETING


Brigg Town Council's monthly meeting, to be held in the Angel Suite on Monday, September 28, from 7.30pm, is open to interested members of the public.
They are welcome to sit and listen to the discussions or can raise issues of interest/concern to them during Public Question Time (see Item 9 below).
Vicar of Brigg, Father Owain Mitchell (pictured above) has contacted the Town Council about a Social Justice Fund  (see Item 15).
If you are going along on Monday, please note that entry to the Angel Suite at night is through the Rotunda (conservatory-like building) off the rear car park.

BUSINESS TO BE TRANSACTED

1. Notice convening the meeting.

2. To Receive Apologies and Reasons for Absence

3. To Consider the suspension of the Meeting for the Purpose of Prayer.

4. a) To record any Declarations of Interest by any member of the council in respect of the agenda items listed below. Members declaring interests should identify the Agenda Item and the type of interest being declared.
b) To note any dispensations given to any member of the council in respect of the Agenda Items listed below.
5. To approve the Minutes, as circulated, of the Annual Meeting held on Monday 27th July 2015.

8. To receive the update on any outstanding issues from the clerk.

13. TO RECEIVE REPORTS FROM MEMBERS DELEGATED TO SERVE ON OUTSIDE
BODIES.

14. a) TO RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING FINANCIAL REPORTS and APPROVE THE
ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT: 
i) 31st July 2015
ii) 31st August 2015

15. THE BISHOP OF LINCOLN’S CHARITABLE INITIATIVE – ‘SOCIAL JUSTICE FUND’.
To receive and consider a letter from Fr. Owain Mitchell regarding any ideas that the Town Council might have in relation to projects which could benefit from the funds on offer.

16. TO RECEIVE AN UPDATE REGARDING THE REQUEST FROM BRIGG TOWN
BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP FOR FUNDING TOWARDS THE INSTALLATION OF
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BOARDS AT KEY POINTS AROUND THE TOWN.

17. TO CONSIDER THE REPORT FROM THE WORKING GROUP REGARDING
COMMITTEE STRUCTURE AND TO DETERMINE THE FUTURE FORMAT OF
MEETINGS FOR BRIGG TOWN COUNCIL.
