BUSY BRIGG SCENE FROM THE EARLY 1970s

This Brigg picture has come to light in our family archive. It was taken in the early 1970s by Coun Ken Fisher, who was a keen amateur photographer.
We think that's the Corn Exchange in the distance (left) with St John's Church tower just visible top right.
  • Can someone give the exact location?
  • Can anyone explain the reason for the gathering of townsfolk?
Perhaps Josie Webb, of Brigg Amateur Social Historians, will be able to provide some details.
