BRIGG INDEPENDENTS' INDEPENDENCE DAY 2015

Ancholme River Jazz Band, playing in Brigg Bandstand.

PICTURES AND REPORT BY KEN HARRISON

Drumming, jazz and foot-tapping rhythms were the centre of attraction in Brigg on Saturday.
As part of the privately arranged Brigg Independence Day event, organised by Kate French and Ian Cuttell, from Pastimes in the Market Place, the Ancholme River Jazz Band and the Time Out Drum Therapy groups offered a melody of musical talents.
The Ancholme River Jazz Band are making two further appearances in the next few days; tonight (Friday evening) they are the central attraction at the music/meal event at the Steel Rooms, while tomorrow (Saturday 11th) they make another appearance at the Brigg Town Business Partnership's 'Our Big Gig' of music and storytelling in the Market Place's bandstand, from 10am to 4pm, as part of the National Bandstand Marathon Weekend

Audience participation - Drum Therapy.
