CRICKETERS MEET IN BRIGG PUB TO PLAN 2015 SEASON

Coun Lewis Strange was at the Black Bull for the cricket AGM. He serves on West Lindsey District Council and Lincolnshire County Council.

The Black Bull pub, in Brigg, was the venue for Brocklesby Park Cricket Club’s annual meeting.
From our position at the bar, we observed proceedings and pondered the years’ service given to the club by those present.
They included Coun Lewis Strange, Keith Smith, Josh White and Michael Burbidge.
Some of them have been connected with the club since the early 1960s.
We played alongside all four for Brocklesby Park CC (not in the 1960s!) and also for Brigg Hockey Club. True sportsmen, one and all!

Brocklesby Park’s ground, on the Earl of Yarborough’s estate, is being used by Brigg Town Cricket Club as a temporary base until the revamp of facilities at our Recreation Ground, off Wrawby Road.
