FRIDAY NIGHT COMEDY IN BRIGG: HAVE YOU GOT YOUR TICKET?

Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at various venues all over the country, is excited to announce the launch of their brand new comedy night at Brigg Servicemen’s Club on Friday 30th January.
Funhouse Comedy Clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to fame and fortune include Sarah Millican, Russell Kane, Jack Whitehall and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as “among the best anywhere in the world.”
Headlining the launch is comedian, actor, writer, BBC Radio presenter and juggler Steve Royle. He spent many years as the court jester at Camelot theme park and has supported Peter Kay and Dave Spikey on tour. His TV appearances include ’Phoenix Nights’ and ‘Max & Paddy’. Amusing his audiences with his high energy and distinctive talents, there’s something for everyone.
Supporting will be comedian and script writer Sean Percival. His brand of comedy steers clear of the surreal and confronts realism in an explosively funny way. His down to earth act is bang up to date with its upfront attitude, no long stories, just gags galore.
Also appearing will be classy, fast-paced ‘Geordie’ Christian Steel, whose natural warmth enables him to get away with some extraordinary jokes. Before going into stand up he was a professional actor who trained at LAMDA and was a member of the National Youth Theatre. He has appeared at the RSC and was in HBO drama 'Shackleton' with Kenneth Branagh, amongst other things.
The energetic Ben Murray is MC for the evening with his cheeky, chatty and upbeat style.
Tickets are £8 in advance. Door open 7.30pm; show starts 8.15pm.
