DRIVERS STILL GETTING LOST IN BRIGG

In this era of Google maps, smart phones and broadband it’s surprising to see how many delivery drivers still  get lost in Brigg.
We’ve seen them pull over in Bridge Street, near the petrol station, delivery sheets in hand, and cross over the A18 to seek directions.
This also happens in other areas of town.
More than 30 years ago when Lincolnshire Times reporters made their early morning visit to Brigg police station to check any overnight incidents,  it was not unusual to observe truck and van drivers coming in to ask the location of  businesses.
The inquiry desk had a map of the town and would use it to point out where the drivers needed to go. Back then, of course, there was precious little technology to assist delivery men and women.
