For those wondering about the absence of the usual Brigg Blog Saturday night pub report we should explain that we were in Messingham, attending a 50th birthday party being held for our friend Mick Smith, the former Brigg Town Cricket Club all-rounder.
We got back to town too late to nip out for a pint and settled, instead, for a takeaway from the China Garden. Very good it was, too.
Normal service should be resumed this coming Saturday night. We hope.
