PLANS FOR BRIGG RECREATION GROUND

The long-awaited scheme to totally redevelop and improve Brigg Recreation Ground, off Wrawby Road, has now reached an important stage.
A planning application has now been lodged, giving members of the public an opportunity to comment and councillors the chance to consider the scheme in detail.
The granting of planning permission by North Lincolnshire Council is necessary before things can proceed.
First, however, Brigg Town Council gets a chance to comment. This stage in the planning process will take place on Wednesday (September 10) when the Planning & Environment Committee meets in the Angel Suite Lounge at 6.45pm. This session is open to interested members of the public.
Planning permission is being sought for demolition of the existing changing pavilion and redevelopment of site to provide new changing and sports facilities.
On Wednesday night the Town Council committee will also consider a planning application to erect three ‘independent living’ one-bedroom housing units at Orchard Court Care Home, 7 Wrawby Road, Brigg.
