BRIGG TOWN CRICKETERS AVOID THE SHOWERS

Brigg Town Cricket Club have a golden chance to step up their promotion push in division four of the Lincolnshire County Cricket League today (Sunday).
With their rivals all rained off yesterday, Brigg are playing in their match away to Caistor 3rds, giving them the opportunity to close the game.
Caistor made a good start, courtesy of veteran opener Dave Gowshall, and were 43 for one when we left the ground. It could boil up into a good game.
If Brigg can manage an outright win they will collect 20 points, while their rivals took only 5 yesterday from their rained-off fixtures.
