ROADSHOW COMING TO BRIGG HOUSING ESTATES

Work has started on creating the first Brigg Town Neighbourhood Plan. This will be a blueprint setting out how members of our community want to see the town develop, in terms of housing, buildings, sports provision and other requirements.
A special vehicle will be driven to housing estates in the town over coming months and members of the public invited to go along and speak to councillors and volunteers about what they'd like to see included in the Neighbourhood Plan.
In addition, there will be a consultative stall at Brigg's Thursday and Saturday markets on certain days.
Full details will be posted on Brigg Blog once they are confirmed.
A committee of Brigg Town Councillors is overseeing the creation of the Plan, with a special group of councillors and volunteers undertaking the day-to-day work.  The overseeing council committee, if we can call it that, met in the Angel Suite last Wednesday evening when Coun Alec Depledge said: "By the end of 2015 I think we will have our plan in place."
The contents of the Neighbourhood Plan will be taken into account when North Lincolnshire Council makes planning decisions in Brigg.
