BRIGG PUB THE ANCHOLME GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

Thought to be the final function at the now demolished Ancholme Inn, Brigg - picture on Nigel Fisher's Brigg Blog

We drove up Grammar School Road, Brigg, at the weekend, past the site of the Ancholme Inn - now demolished and awaiting redevelopment for new housing. These pictures were taken at what we think was the last ever function held at the hostelry. From memory, it was late 2011. Only circa 1960, the Ancholme pub was no great architectural loss to the town, but  many Brigg folk will have happy memories of attending  a wide range of functions and events there down the decades.
