A "change of use" application to permit car sales on land near 15 Bridge Street, Brigg - the former conservatory sales area on the corner of Engine Street - has cleared its first hurdle in the planning process.
Brigg Town Council has raised no objections to the proposal alongside the A18, although Coun Mike Campion said there now seemed to be a proliferation of such businesses, which he described as "little car sites."
Town Mayor Coun John Kitwood said that was purely a commercial issue.
North Lincolnshire Council planners will now decide whether to grant permission in this case.
