SAD FAREWELL TO ADRIAN GIBBONS IN BRIGG TODAY

Adrian Gibbons whose funeral was held today in Brigg - picture on Nigel Fisher's Brigg Blog

Well over 600  mourners attended this afternoon's funeral service for Adrian Gibbons at St John's Church in Brigg - and as we write this, many people have gone to Elsham Golf Club to raise a glass to him. Tonight, friends will be meeting up at the Britannia in Wrawby Street, Brigg  to do likewise.
The latest issue of the Scunthorpe Telegraph, which is on sale from tomorrow  (Thursday, March 20) will include a full report of the funeral and there will be a further tribute by "yours truly" on www.scunthorpetelegraph.co.uk from 7am tomorrow.  See the home page or go direct to www.scunthorpetelegraph.co.uk/Brigg
Richard Sharpe's report of the funeral, posted this afternoon, CAN BE READ HERE
Today saw a remarkable turnout by so many Brigg people and organisations in memory of a remarkable chap - devoted family man, teacher, sportsman, quizmaster and great friend to many of us.
RIP, GIB
