Adrian Gibbons will be in the thoughts of everyone tonight (Saturday, March 22) during the annual dinner of the Briggensians' Association at Elsham Golf Club. A long-serving Sir John Nelthorpe School teacher, Gibb, who died aged 63,  was a much-loved and respected Brigg man.
Here are two pictures we took this week when the funeral service was conducted at St John's Church by Father Owain Mitchell. They help to demonstrate Adrian's popularity. Not only were all seats taken within the church but other mourners crowded into the adjoining church hall (right of picture below) while about 150 stood outside, in Bigby Street, to pay their respects.
The current issue of the Scunthorpe Telegraph features a tribute to Adrian and there are stories and pictures on the paper's website

The Briggensians' Association membership comprises former staff and pupils of Sir John Nelthorpe School, Brigg Grammar School, Brigg Girls' High School and Brigg Sixth Form College.
