BRIGG ROUNDABOUT SIGNS NOW NEED PERMISSION

A rather unusual Brigg application for permission is now going through the planning system.
Advertisement consent is being sought to retain four signs on the roundabout near Tesco - at the junction of the A18 with Atherton Way.
North Lincolnshire Council Neighbourhood Services, of Scunthorpe Civice Centre, is the applicant, and North Lincolnshire Council planners will make a decision.
The application suggests that the "poll mounted in ground" signs have been "in situ" on the roundabout since 2011.
If you didn't know, such matters fall under the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (England) Regulations 2007.
Consulted about the application, North Lincolnshire Council highways has raised no objections. Nor has Brigg Town Council - the matter being considered by the Planning and Environment Committee at a meeting in the Angel Suite on Monday.
