Brigg Blog took this unusual picture of seagulls on top of the former Lidl store in Brigg - beside the Old River Ancholme - yesterday (Sunday Oct 13) when the town suffered some heavy rain, as can be gauged from the leaden skies above.
Strangely they are not looking over to the river (on the left) where we saw some gulls earlier taking a keen interest in bread intended for the ducks.
We clearly needed a director of the calibre of Alfred Hitchcock to set The Birds up properly for this shot!
