BIGBY HIGH ROAD IMPROVEMENTS IN BRIGG

North Lincolnshire Council tell us that the "footway works" will recommence on Thursday ( June 6) with the surfacing of the existing reconstructed footway in front of the houses, using two-way traffic signals for traffic control.
On Monday, June 10 the section from the houses to the level crossing will be started using three-way stop and go boards, incorporating the level crossing, for traffic control.
All works should be completed by the end of Thursday,  June 13.
Regular Brigg Blog followers may recall that a progress report on this improvement project was requested at the last meeting of the Town Council, and that a member of the Cabinet at North Lincolnshire Council, the highway authority, who was present, said he would seek an update.

An informal comment from the 'Highways Authority, who was present, indicated to me that the Monument Roundabout was to be resurfaced/refurbished in the near future.
The 'Highways Authority, who was present' person is conscious of the very busy nature of the roundabout and some thought may have to be given to undertaking the work at night to ameliorate traffic flow disruption - although the 'Highways Authority, who was present' person is also cognisance that such nocturnal work may disturb nearby residents and that a solution to minimise inconvenience on both accounts needs to be found.
