A BARRIER TO ATTRACTING MORE PASSENGERS AT BRIGG STATION

This was the disappointing scene near Brigg station on Saturday morning: Car-driving would-be passengers wanting to catch the train found the barrier down and had to park some way from the platforms. Whether North Lincolnshire Council, Network Rail or some other company is behind this we are unsure. But it does nothing to help attract passengers. Maybe someone in authority can find a minute to explain why the barrier has to be down on Saturday - the only day of the week that Brigg station receives a passenger service. It's clear that anyone with mobility problems is being disadvantaged.
