NEW BOYES STORE IN BRIGG THROUGH FIRST PART OF PLANNING PROCESS

Brigg Town Council's Planning and Environment Committee has raised no objections to an application for advertisement consent relating to signs for the new Boyes company store in the former Brown & Co auction rooms on Old Courts Road.
North Lincolnshire Council will now decide whether to grant advertisement consent to the firm which is bringing more than 20 new jobs to Brigg.

Does Boyes really need planning permission to operate?
Both Brown's old auction house and Boyes are classified as retail premises. There is no significant change of use - ie retail to a restaurant.
The application refers to the style of advertising boards that Boyes are permitted to use.

I wonder how many small local established businesses Boyes will help to close down?
