BRIGG STICKS WITH CHRISTMAS TRADITION

Christmas in Brigg town centre will again feature the colourful illuminations.
Brigg Town Council will be providing the lights, having this week agreed the same terms and conditions with the contractor who puts them up and takes them down.
We anticiapte the usual official Friday night switch-on in the Market Place in early December - unless we get the sort of grim weather endured in 2010.
Because of today's "Elf" (fitting for Christmas!) and Safety culture, some parish and town councils have given up the ghost with Christmas lights. It's just too much hassle and there are too many hoops to jump through.
Yet the leading lights in Brigg have stuck with it.
PS Will Christmas Humbug sell well at Sankey's Sweet Shop?
