BRIGG BENEFITS FROM FREE CAR PARKING

Coun Nigel Sherwood, Cabinet Member for Highways and Neighbourhoods at North Lincolnshire Council, said today: "Shop owners in Brigg have already said they have noticed more people coming into the town since free parking was introduced there earlier this month."
You can park for three for two hours in the Old Courts Road and Angel car parks. But remember you MUST still get a ticket from the machine and display it.
Scunthorpe gets limited one-hour free parking in some town centre car parks from tomorrow, while Ashby joined the scheme last Thursday.
Coun Sherwood told Brigg Blog: "Car park charges have been a bone of contention for many years. Business owners, market traders and shoppers have repeatedly told us they want free parking and in June we made a commitment to deliver it."
("We" being the Conservative group which now controls the Council).
