SETTING UP FOR SUMMER FEST

The stalls and attractions are now being set up for today's Summer Festival being organised by Brigg District Lions, which runs from 11am. As well as attractions in the Market Place, there are stalls stretching down Wrawby Street as far as Poundstretcher.
Please not that, yet again, temporary traffic lights are in operation at the junction of Barnard Avenue and Old Courts Road. We've now lost count of the number of weeks the contractors have been sent out to attend to the lights on a Sunday. And they are out in force today.
Hopefully it won't cause hold-ups and congestion as extra traffic is generated by the welcome event in the town centre.
Couldn't North Lincolnshire Council have given the light work a miss just for this week? Or could it be the work will have finished by 11am?
